Monochrom Monday: Snowstorm In Nashville

Broadway in Nashville is usually electric—neon signs buzzing, music spilling out of every bar, and crowds moving to the rhythm of the city. Friday January 10th, was different, we actually had a snowstorm, and it felt like a different world. The snow muffled everything, silencing the chaos and wrapping the street in a kind of stillness I’d never felt there before. It wasn’t quiet, but it was calm.

I grabbed my Leica M11 Monochrom and headed out into the storm, unsure of what I’d find. There’s something about shooting in black and white during moments like this—it strips everything down, forces you to focus on the rawness of the moment. The textures of the snow, the way the light from the streetlamps caught in the falling flakes, and the ghostly silhouettes of buildings I’d walked past a hundred times—it all felt new.

This gallery isn’t just a collection of photos; it’s a glimpse into a rare and fleeting moment when Nashville’s busiest street paused, if only for a little while. I hope it feels as raw and quiet to you as it did to me.
